The Sea-to-Sky highway between Vancouver and Whistler is closed due to an incredible rock slide near Porteau Cove.
There are some sobering pictures of the area and a clip of some of the
news coverage.Amazingly no one was injured although a bus was travelling thru the area at the time. The road looks like being closed thru the BC Day weekend though there are alternatives! Another road route via Duffy Lake takes a mere 7 hours or you could charter a helicopter or two, or even a plane to skip over the debris!
