ArtWalk studio tour - sipping tea on the porch!

(if you didn't already know) I'm taking part in the annual ArtsConnect Port Moody ArtWalk studio tour this weekend.
If it's sunny weather I'll be sitting sipping tea on the porch of the Tealicious Tea Company at 2224 Clarke Street, and if it's a bit nippy we'll be inside.
The ArtWalk is a great way for artists and the community to connect. Artists will be demonstrating their art, showing their work, and it will be a great opportunity to select that special Mother's or Father's Day gift!

PS: the Blackberry Gift Shop at Port Moody Arts Centre is holding a 20% sale on certain items too!

currently out on display ...

slideshow: items on display at City Hall

So this afternoon's activity was setting up the display case at City Hall in Port Moody where Sandra and I, from the Blackberry Artists Cooperative, are exhibiting our wares for the month of June.

Sandra has the most deliciously gorgeous beaded pieces of jewelry ever and it's quite an honour to be 'on show' beside her. I've set up six cases comprising wire crochet, wire and fibre, cufflinks and metalwork so hopefully there will be something of interest for anyone passing by.

The slideshow above shows most of the pieces currently out on display, and the ByHand spotlight below shows where you can get your hands on similar pieces or custom makes for yourself! Just click on the image to be taken to the item's selling page.

how about a view of where i live (from a cycle commuter's point of view)!

His route starts from Barnet Highway and continues in along Murray/Clark towards Ioco. It's the same alarming route my husband takes on his bike commute every day!!

Yikes!
