Way to go! I think 1 hour 15 minutes is a great time when you're pushing a kindergartner in a stroller. As for me, I keep saying I'll do the Sun Run, but have yet to actually get off my duff. So no matter what, you're doing better than I am. ;)

  2. Thanks Amber. For my first Sun Run I followed the running clinic outline - run 30s, walk 1 minute, repeat for 50 minutes and so on, gradually building up to running for about 45 minutes non stop. It made the whole process much less frightening. Previous to that I had hated running and ran no further than to a bus stop. Runners' Den in Newport Village has great running clinics to get you started.

(Also, I should admit he is a light kindergartner!)

  3. Congrats !
Once upom a time I used to jog three miles a day ... until I discovered my time was the same if I fast walked :P So no bouncy bouncy for me after that ... I have to preserve my knees for my golden years of nursing lol !

Although I REALLY need to get back to walking regularly, I just can't get into running, but admire those who do it ;-)
    BRAVO !!

  4. LOL! your run/walk time sounds the same as my breast stroke vs. fast crawl times!

we did have fun yesterday, we're not fast anyway but it was great to get out as a family.

hmm - kayak season is approaching. the plod and paddle dates are back very soon so we might just switch to being on the water again!
